THE CODES
Governance Code
At We Don't Care Foundation, we are committed to growing in alignment with the Governance Code, ensuring that our actions are guided by transparency, accountability, and integrity. As we continue to develop, our board actively strives to live by this code, and we recognize that there may be areas for improvement along the way. We believe in being open about any challenges we face and welcome critical feedback from others. By maintaining this openness, we aim to strengthen our organization and improve in every aspect of our work.
Fair Practice Code
The Fair Practice Code forms the core of We Don't Care Foundation's approach to how we value the people we work with. We firmly believe that being a non-profit organization does not mean that those we collaborate with shouldn't be compensated fairly. In fact, we strive to pay them better than the current market standards, especially in a field where creatives are often underpaid. We recognize the damaging effects of underpayment on both mental and physical health, particularly among young professionals. By adhering to the Fair Practice Code, we ensure that fairness, respect, and equitable compensation are at the heart of how we operate, allowing us to meet our goals and support the creative community.
Code Diversion and Inclusion
Diversity and inclusion are woven into the fabric of everything we do at We Don't Care Foundation. We work to highlight that, despite the many cultural differences across the globe, people share more common ground than what is often portrayed in the media. This message is central to the documentary we are currently producing in Africa, which showcases how people from different backgrounds connect in unexpected ways. Another key area we are passionate about is advocating for gender equality in the music industry. We are committed to challenging the biases and barriers that women face in this field, where they are often overlooked or treated unfairly. Our goal is to foster a culture of equality, where women in music are respected for their talents, not objectified.
